Service Terms
Horizon Bound LLC is a Colorado limited liability company providing website development, hosting, and ongoing website updates.
Website development
The standard website build costs $2,499. The scope of the website is discussed before work begins. More elaborate designs or functionality may require a separate quote. Additional charges will be explained and approved before the additional work begins.
Customers have an opportunity to review the completed website and request one round of revisions before approving it for launch.
No upfront payment is required. The website-build invoice is issued upon completion and launch, and payment is due upon receipt.
Hosting and ongoing updates
Customers may choose between:
- Hosting — $19 per month: Hosting for the completed website.
- Hosting + Unlimited Updates — $99 per month: Hosting plus changes to text, photographs, and project listings; limited structural and functional changes; and additional simple pages.
Significant changes to the website's structure or functionality, or additional elaborate pages, may require a separate quote approved before work begins.
Covered update requests are completed within five business days after Horizon Bound receives the request and the information and materials needed to complete it.
The first month following launch is free. Customers choosing Hosting + Unlimited Updates receive covered updates during that first month as well. Monthly billing begins one month after the launch date.
The free first month applies only to ongoing service and does not defer payment of the website-build invoice.
Customers may cancel their ongoing service at any time.
Domain names
Customers retain ownership of their domain names, including domains obtained by Horizon Bound on their behalf.
For customers who need a domain, Horizon Bound covers the initial registration cost up to $100. While the website remains hosted through Horizon Bound, Horizon Bound also manages and covers domain renewals costing up to $100 per renewal. Costs above that amount will be discussed with the customer before purchase or renewal.
When hosting ends, the customer retains the domain and becomes responsible for its ongoing registration and renewal. Horizon Bound will assist with transferring domain management to the customer.
Website ownership and files
Once the website-build invoice is paid in full, the customer owns the completed custom website and may request its files for use with another hosting provider.
Third-party components, fonts, images, software, and services remain subject to their respective licenses. Moving the website may require separate accounts or arrangements for services supplied by another provider.
Overdue website-build payments
If the website-build invoice remains unpaid on day seven after invoicing, Horizon Bound sends a warning that hosting service will terminate on day fourteen if payment remains outstanding.
Termination takes the website offline. The outstanding website-build balance remains payable.
Horizon Bound retains the website files for one year after service ends. File handover requires full payment of the website-build invoice. Customers should request and retain their own copy within that year.
